toxic gas with an irritating, acrid odor. It forms dense fumes in
humid air. Boron Trichloride is irritating to the mucous membranes.
It hydrolyses in moist air to form hydrogen chloride. It is shipped
as a liquefied gas under its own vapor pressure.
